Homi J Bhaba on why he doesn't care about others' opinions

Homi Jehangir Bhabha was an Indian nuclear physicist, founding director, and professor of physics at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR). Colloquially known as " Father of the Indian nuclear programme".

He has also written many inspirational quotes and one of them is: “My success will not depend on what A or B thinks of me. My success will be what I make of my work”.

The meaning of the above quote is:

We may all disagree on the definition of success. Some say it involves becoming rich, others say it has to do with becoming happy, and some say success includes becoming both. But no matter the definition, we can all agree: the path to success is not supposed to be easy.

Success isn't defined by achievements or how many material possessions one has, but rather how we meet our universal need for being challenged intellectually, living a life aligned with our purpose, and regularly experiencing fulfillment and meaning.
